Play Hartii Games
This guide walks you through hartiigames.com from your first tap to checking your result. You can play for free without a wallet. A wallet is only needed for the daily challenge, to appear on leaderboards, to equip skins, to claim prizes and to see your HBOME.
Who it's for: anyone new to browser games on Quai. You'll need: a desktop browser or a phone. A wallet is optional for free play (see step 2).
1. Open the lobby
Go to hartiigames.com. The home page is a compact lobby. It has a thin bar at the top, one row for today's daily and a grid of eleven game tiles. On a phone there is also a dock at the bottom.
- The tiles. Each tile is one game, with a small live preview. The games are Hex Breaker, Gravity Flip, Orbit Lock, Pulse Snake, Shatter Stack, Nova Storm, Flux Hop, Neon Drift, Alien Siege, Piano Keys and Blade Pong.
- Today's daily. This row counts down to 00:00 UTC, when the next daily challenge starts. It also shows "S2 live" (Season 2 rules), how many of today's dailies you have played (for example "3/11") and your daily streak once you have one. A check mark appears on a tile once you have played that game's daily today. These marks are saved in your browser, so they do not follow you to another device.
- The dock. On a phone, four buttons sit at the bottom: Play, Boards, Shop and Me. On a wide screen (900 pixels or more) the same four are tabs in the top bar.
- The top bar. It has the HARTII GAMES name (tap it to come back to the lobby) and the Connect Wallet button. Once a wallet is connected, a chip with your HBOME balance appears next to it.
2. Connect a wallet (optional for free play)
- Press Connect Wallet (top right).
- On desktop, approve the request in the Pelagus browser extension. No extension? The button opens pelaguswallet.io so you can install it.
- On a phone, the button reopens the page inside the BlipPay in-app browser, which supplies the wallet.
After connecting, the button shows your shortened address and the HBOME chip appears next to it. Tap the chip to open the HBOME page on HartiiLabs, where you can get more. If the balance cannot be read, the chip shows a dash. Tap your address, or Me in the dock, to open your profile (see step 6).
3. Play a game
- Tap a tile. A sheet opens with the game's name, a line such as "Brick Breaker · Season 2 rules", a short description and three buttons. On a phone the sheet slides up from the bottom.
- Press Play free (tag: "unlimited · scores count with a wallet"). There is no stake and no limit on runs.
- Or press Daily challenge (tag: "one shot · shared seed · +100 XP"). Everyone gets the same seed that day, and you get one attempt per game. It needs a connected wallet. Without one, the sheet tells you to connect first. After you finish, the button shows "✓ played".
- Or press Leaderboard to open that game's board (see step 4).
A short loading screen plays, then the game starts. A badge at the top shows FREE PLAY or DAILY CHALLENGE, and ← Arcade takes you back. On a phone the game fills the screen where your browser allows it, and an upright phone may show a small "Rotate for more room" hint until you start.
When a run ends, your score is sent for checking if a wallet is connected. The server replays your recorded inputs, so only genuine runs count (this is called replay-verified). Without a wallet, the game tells you to connect one to enter the leaderboard.
Free runs, Play Again and the daily challenge start on the game's current rules. Ten games run rules v2 (Season 2), and Alien Siege runs rules v3 (Season 3). The list below says what changed. See Seasons.
4. Boards: scores and seasons
Press Boards in the dock (or the tab in the top bar). It has four tabs: Monthly, Free, Daily and Activity.
- Monthly shows this month's leaders across all games. Each wallet's best verified free score in a game is scaled against the month's top score in that game, and the results are added up. The tab lists the top ten, with their points and how many games they have scores in.
- Free and Daily show a card for each game with its top three scores. Press a card to open that game's board, which lists the top 20. Free is the all-time board for the current season, and Daily is today's board.
- Season buttons sit above the scores in an open board: S1 · archive and S2 · now (Alien Siege also has S2 · archive and S3 · now). The board opens on the current season. Press S1 · archive to see scores set under the classic rules. A short label beside the buttons names the season on screen, and your choice stays when you move between Free and Daily.
- A ▶ next to a score plays back that run. A ⤴ copies a link to the replay, or opens your phone's share sheet.
- Activity is a live list of recent activity, such as prize claims. It shows a short message when there is nothing yet.
You can also open a game's board from its sheet with Leaderboard.
5. The Shop: champions and skins
Press Shop. The page says "Cosmetic skins. They never change gameplay." It has two tabs, Skins and Market.
Skins tab
- Champions are free to wear: HRT, QUAIBOSS and QAXE. Press Wear to put one on. The button then says Wearing, and pressing it again takes the champion off. No wallet is needed, and your choice is saved in your browser. Tap a champion's picture to read its profile.
- Skins are cosmetics for a game's theme, a trail or an icon. The filters are All, Owned, Common, Rare and Exclusive. A skin you own has a check mark and an Equip button. Press it and approve the request in your wallet. It is a signed message, not a payment. Press Equipped ✓ to take the skin off.
- Prices are in HBOME. For a skin you do not own, the price is a dash followed by "HBOME", with an approximate US dollar price under it. The dash stays until HBOME has a quote source, so no HBOME amount is shown yet.
- Buy is switched off. The button is disabled and the page says HBOME checkout opens soon. You can equip skins you already own right now.
- Earn only. The Champion Crown (Exclusive) is won in play, never sold. Its tile says "Earn only" and its button says "Not for sale". If you own one, you can still equip it.
- Without a wallet, the top of the page offers a Connect button. With one, it shows "Your HBOME" with your balance and a Get HBOME link.
Market tab. It shows skins that other players listed earlier. You cannot buy them or list new ones for now (the button says Soon). If you listed a skin yourself, you can still press Cancel listing. That is a wallet transaction and costs a small network fee.
6. Me: level, HBOME, username and prize claims
Press Me. If no wallet is connected, you see "Not connected" and a Connect wallet button. When one is connected, the sheet shows:
- your level, rank and XP, your HBOME balance and your daily streak;
- a Username. It is free, and it is shared across Hartii Games, Biome and Gallery. Use 3 to 16 letters, numbers or underscores. The line under the box says whether a name is available or taken. Press Claim and approve the signature request in your wallet;
- Prize claims: any prize waiting in a game's prize pool, each with a Claim button. Press it and approve the transaction. A prize from a game that has left the roster still shows here, labelled "Prize pool". "No prizes to claim right now" means nothing is waiting;
- Your best scores, one cell per game and season, such as "Hex Breaker · S2";
- links to Biome, Gallery and X, and a Disconnect wallet button.
7. Paid ranked entry is switched off
Paid ranked entry stakes real QUAI, and it is off. No game takes a paid entry in this release, so you will not see a stake screen anywhere. A game's sheet has only Play free, Daily challenge and Leaderboard, and Boards has no ranked tabs. Hash Wars was the only game set up for paid entry, and it has left the roster.
Prizes that were already settled stay claimable on-chain. Press Me and look under Prize claims. The money rules are in Games contracts.
Rules v2: what changed
These eleven games got rules v2 (Season 2). Nine moved in 1.18.0, and Alien Siege and Piano Keys joined in 1.19.0. Alien Siege has since moved on to rules v3 (below). Your old scores stay on the Season 1 board, because the rules differ.
- Hex Breaker: aimed launch, a combo multiplier from x1.0 to x3.0, an anti-stall heat ramp, and six wave layouts with gold (x3), explosive and armoured bricks.
- Blade Pong: scoring zones expire after 8 seconds, a golden x3 zone and a red dead zone appear, three telegraphed blades deflect the ball, and the paddle shrinks from 96 to 64.
- Pulse Snake: streak food (x1 to x4), speed that rises with time instead of length, laser lines from 40 seconds, and walls that close every 20 seconds.
- Shatter Stack: a seven-piece bag with a next-piece queue, lock delay, SHATTER clears that also destroy the dominant colour, a perfect-clear bonus, garbage rows from level 5, and touch gestures.
- Nova Storm: telegraphed turrets, three bullet types, a graze chain (x1 to x6) and a bomb on Shift. Touch play gets FOCUS and BOMB buttons.
- Neon Drift: chain-graze scoring. Time alone no longer scores; distance and grazes pay more as your chain grows (chain cap 16).
- Flux Hop: coyote time, a jump buffer, variable jump height, telegraphed fireballs, a graze bonus and a coin chain.
- Gravity Flip: a flip cooldown and a one-reversal air-flip budget, a flip buffer, a graze chain, gate patterns and a higher speed ceiling.
- Orbit Lock: a dodgeable laser with one safe ring, fair spawn arcs, a near-miss chain and rising pressure.
- Alien Siege: up to 16 of your shots can be in flight at once (it was 6), so spread shot and rapid fire now deliver. A wave wiped by a smart bomb pays no clear bonus and says "BOMB CLEAR // NO BONUS". Kill pop-ups show the exact points each kill paid.
- Piano Keys: tiles are locked to the beat, and the tempo climbs from 96 to 144 BPM. From bar 12, two-lane chords and hold tiles appear. A hold is a tall tile. Letting go near its tail earns a bonus ("RELEASE"), and letting go early only breaks your combo ("LET GO"). The timing windows are wider: perfect is 16 pixels and good is 52 (they were 14 and 46).
Alien Siege rules v3: hold to fire
Since 1.23.0, Alien Siege runs rules v3 (Season 3). Everything from rules v2 stays, with one change: the ship fires only while you hold fire. Before, it fired on its own.
- Keyboard: hold Space (or Enter) to fire. Steer with ← and →, or with the mouse.
- Mouse: hold the button to fire. The ship follows the pointer.
- Phone: keep a finger on the screen to fire. The ship follows your finger, so you steer and fire with one thumb. Lift your finger to stop.
- Shots leave at the same rate as before while you hold, and the first press fires at once. Tapping faster does not fire faster.
Your Season 2 scores stay on the S2 · archive board.
Hash Wars had a practice-only rules v5 (kill-chain scoring, real heat and a VENT on Shift). It left the roster in 1.19.0, and that mode is no longer offered. Its old boards are kept as an archive.
All eleven games share the same effects, sound and vibration (on phones that support it). That does not change how they score.
Common mistakes
- Old scores look missing. Press S1 · archive on the board. Scores from before the season change were not removed.
- The daily challenge will not start. It needs a connected wallet. Connect one, then press Daily challenge again. You get one attempt per game each day.
- Wrong network. Games runs on Quai mainnet, Cyprus-1 (chain 9). Switch your wallet if asked.
- No QUAI for gas. Add a little before you claim a prize or cancel a listing.
- A claim or cancel is pending. Look the transaction up on quaiscan.io first. Never send a second transaction while the first is unconfirmed.
- A Hash Wars link opens the lobby. The game was removed in 1.19.0.
