Guide: boost a token

This guide is for token creators and fans who want to pay for a spot in the Promoted row on HartiiLabs. You buy points, not tokens. Points rank a token in the Promoted row, and they fade to zero over 24 hours.

#What you need

• A Quai wallet: Pelagus on a computer or Blip on a phone, set to Quai Network.
• QUAI for the package you pick, plus network gas (the small fee every transaction pays to the network).
• The token must be indexed and visible on the site. Hidden or moderated tokens never appear, even if boosted.

#Steps

1. Open the left menu, press More, and under Earn and promote choose Boost. Or open hartiilabs.com/boost. The page is called Hartii Boost ("Give your token a place in the Promoted row"). You can also open any token page and expand Boost this token · paid placement. On a phone the page has three tabs: Boost, Promoted and Purchases.
2. Under Choose an indexed token, search the latest 100 tokens or paste a token address. Click the token you want. Only that token gets the boost.
3. If nothing is selected the page says Select a token to begin. Once you pick one, the panel Boost with the token's symbol opens. Under Point package, pick one:

Prices come live from the contract, so read the page before you pay. The price shows with "+ network gas". 4. Read the notice about paid placement. Tick I understand paid placement, moderation and no refunds. 5. Press Connect wallet and approve in your wallet. Connecting does not pay. The panel has a Settings button for gas headroom; the default is fine. 6. Press Pay for boost. Your wallet asks you to sign and send the exact price. No token approval is needed.

#What you will see

• While it works, the panel shows the state of the payment and a link to the transaction.
• When it confirms: "Boost payment confirmed. Promoted points follow after indexing."
• Active points shows your token's points and a decay chart (now, 12h, 24h). The page waits 20 blocks for safety, so the points usually show up within about a minute.

#How the points work

• Each purchase starts at full value and falls in a straight line to zero over 24 hours.
• A token's score is the sum of its active purchases. A tie goes to the most recent purchase.
• A large buyer can always take the top slot. That is how paid placement works.
• All of the price goes to the treasury.

#Fees and limits

• Price = points x the price per point (currently 0.5 QUAI), plus gas.
• The contract caps the price at 10 QUAI per point, 5,000 points per package and eight packages.
• If the price drops before your payment is mined, the extra is refunded. If it rises, the payment fails but you still pay gas.

#Common mistakes

• Wrong network. Switch to Quai Network in your wallet.
• Not enough QUAI. The page checks your balance and gas before signing. Add QUAI or choose a smaller package.
• The panel is locked after a reload or lost connection. This is on purpose, so you cannot pay twice. If you have a transaction link, press Check receipt · never resubmit. If you are sure nothing was sent, tick the box that says you checked your wallet and the explorer, then press Unlock a new review.
• Pending for a long time. Never pay again. Check the receipt on quaiscan.io first.
• "Purchases are paused". The contract owner has paused new purchases. Try later.
