Guide: launch a token
This guide is for anyone who wants to make their own token on hartiilabs.com. You do not need to write code. You fill in a short form and press one button.
A token is a digital item that lives on the Quai blockchain. Yours will have a name, a short ticker (like CAMEL), and a fixed supply. As soon as it is live, anyone can trade it.
What you need
- A Quai wallet. Use Pelagus on a computer or Blip on a phone. Install one first and keep your recovery phrase private.
- QUAI in that wallet. You pay a creation fee of 5 QUAI, plus network gas (the small fee every transaction pays to the network). Gas on Quai can be tens of QUAI for a launch, so the page shows an estimate right above the button.
- Optional: a square picture for your token (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 25 MB).
Steps
- Press Launch in the left menu (on a phone, the round + button in the bottom bar), or open hartiilabs.com/launchpad/create. The page title is Launch a token. The subtitle reads "Add an image and a name" and shows the live creation fee, read from the contract.
- Under IMAGE, drop a picture, paste one, or click Drop, paste, or click to add an image. Drag the picture to move the crop. The image is optional. Use Remove to clear it.
- Type a Name, for example "Camel Coin".
- Check the Ticker. It fills in from your name. You can edit it. Letters and numbers only, up to 10 characters.
- Optionally add a one-line Description (optional), up to 140 characters.
- Optionally open More options ("socials, allocation, and advanced settings"). Under Socials you can add a website, Twitter / X, Telegram and Discord link. All are marked "editable later". A second fold-out, Advanced, holds the creator allocation, fee and launch settings (see below). You can leave every field alone. Good defaults are already filled in.
- Look at the right side (below the form on a phone). The PREVIEW card shows how your token will look. Below it a short summary lists the LP Reserve, Your half of the fees, Staking pool and Creator vesting. Under that, the cost line shows Creation fee and Est. gas.
- Press Connect wallet to launch (or Connect Wallet at the top right). Approve the connection in your wallet. If it says the network is wrong, switch your wallet to Quai Network. No wallet yet? The Get the Pelagus wallet link next to the connect button takes you to the install page.
- Press Launch token. The button changes to Saving metadata… and then Confirming on-chain…. Your wallet asks you to sign. Check the amount and confirm.
- When it succeeds the button says Launched and a full-screen celebration appears with a share card. Press the button there to enter your token page.
What you will see
- If a field is missing, a red hint above the button tells you, for example "Add a name to launch."
- If saving the picture and details is slow, a message says the on-chain launch can continue and details can be added after.
- Your token usually appears on the site within seconds of the launch confirming.
Fees and limits

Under More options > Advanced you can also set Creator vesting (3 to 90 days, default 7), Lock starts after (0 to 30 days, default 0), Your share of the pool fee (10 to 40%, default 20) and Launch-window cap (0 to 100 blocks, default 20). Some choices, like Buy back and burn my creator fees, cannot be undone. Read the grey text under each option.
Staking for your holders is also under Advanced: Open a staking pool at launch and Pay my creator fees to the stakers. The second is permanent once chosen. When this guide was checked, the form said the staking contracts were not available yet, so the boxes can be greyed out. You can add a pool from your token page later.
Common mistakes
- Wrong network. The page says "Wrong network. Switch to Quai Network in your wallet." Switch in your wallet and press the button again.
- Not enough QUAI. You see "Insufficient QUAI to cover the creation fee + gas." Add QUAI for the fee and the gas estimate, then retry.
- "Transaction rejected in wallet." You pressed Reject. Nothing was sent.
- It seems stuck. Do not press launch again. Look up your wallet on quaiscan.io and check the receipt of the transaction first. Sending twice would create two tokens and cost the fee twice.
After launch, your creator fee share is claimable from the Creator page in the left menu, and the token's own page has the Boost this token and Promote this token buttons (see Guide: boost a token and Guide: Wall of Blocks).
